I am doing my PostDoc at DTU Compute in division of Image Analysis & Computer Graphics.
I did my PhD at Lund Univeristy in division of mathematical statistics.
I am a International Badminton player. I participated in Asian Games and World Championship (both in 2006) for Iran and since 2013 I am playing for Sweden. I also enjoy coaching and at the moment I am the head coach of LUGI Badminton Club.
I started to play Badminton since I was 4 years old. The biggest reason for that is my mom, Hamideh Motahari, my heroine, she was the best Badminton player of Iran for more than 15 years! and continued as Iran national coach afterwards. I won my first international tournament when I was 15. I had been Iran #1 for more than 8 years in a row without any lost. I participated in world championship and Asian games. Since 2010, I am representing Sweden in International competitions.
Environmental and climate processes occur over large space time domains. Their complexity and the amount of available data make the modeling and analysis a challenging task. This calls for expertise of a statistician. The overall goal of my project was to improve models of vegetation/land-cover using statistical models and spatial statistics methods. This leads to better analysis of human impact, improvement of climate models and better prediction of future changes.
I am doing a PostDoc at DTU on a EU Horizon 2020 project called DataBio. The project aims to provide open access software to detect changes in satellite images to help monitoring the earth observation and remote sensing community.
Recently, I start my second PostDoc at DTU in QIM project. QIM stands for “The Center for Quantification of Imaging Data from MAX IV” and the aim is to develop methods and analysis tool for the high resolution images.
