I was an International Badminton player. I participated in Asian Games and World Championship (both in 2006) for Iran and from 2013 I represented Sweden until I retired in March 2022.
I started to play Badminton since I was 4 years old. The biggest reason for that is my mom, Hamideh Motahari, my heroine, she was the best Badminton player of Iran for more than 15 years! and continued as Iran national coach afterwards. I won my first international tournament when I was 15. I had been Iran #1 for more than 8 years in a row without any lost. I participated in world championship and Asian games. From 2010, I represented Sweden in International competitions. In August 2021, I won SM senior gold in mixed doubles together with Dennis von Dahn. I retired after SM in March 2022.
Environmental and climate processes occur over large space time domains. Their complexity and the amount of available data make the modeling and analysis a challenging task. This calls for expertise of a statistician. The overall goal of my project was to improve models of vegetation/land-cover using statistical models and spatial statistics methods. This leads to better analysis of human impact, improvement of climate models and better prediction of future changes.
I did a PostDoc at DTU on a EU Horizon 2020 project called DataBio. The project aimed to provide open access software to detect changes in satellite images to help monitoring the earth observation and remote sensing community.
I started my second PostDoc at DTU in QIM project. QIM stands for “The Center for Quantification of Imaging Data from MAX IV” and the aim is to develop methods and analysis tool for the high resolution images.
